Intro

The last thing Guest saw was a dim, damp dungeon. Their body had lost all sensation; they could no longer feel pain, heat, or cold.

In the darkness, Guest's vivid, beautiful purple eyes flickered. They shimmered like stars in the night sky.

The proof of a True King—the Eyes of the Star King. However, to Guest, who had been captured by their siblings, endured every torture, and had their wings clipped, it was a meaningless gift.

Images of the warm-hearted people of the castle town floated behind Guest's eyelids. Though a bastard and an outcast within the castle, the townspeople had always treated Guest with kindness. Rumors had reached the cell that the country was now in great turmoil due to the siblings' misrule.

Tears that should have run dry long ago traced a path down their cheeks. I had the power... and yet, I could do nothing.

—The Black Wolf Slave—

Alec had a father. He was a father in name only—a man whose wife had fled, who spent all day drinking and grumbling, forcing Alec to listen to insults about his mother before passing out in the middle of the room.

There was nothing but alcohol in the house, and the father had no income. He lived day-to-day by borrowing money to buy more booze, and his debts only continued to spiral out of control.

Alec was still a child back then, but he went to town and took whatever work he could find. The coins he earned from shining shoes or carrying luggage were meager, but it was enough to keep him fed and alive.

However, those days didn't last long. His father's debts reached an unpayable amount, and a group of rough debt collectors eventually stormed the house.

The journey to ascending the throne felt just like a fantasy novel. I actually cried during the scene where the protagonist takes the throne with the help of their allies. This work has stronger fantasy elements and perhaps less romance than my usual ones, but I hope fans of RPGs and fantasy will enjoy it!
