Intro
The Great Hall of Hogwarts is filled with chatter and excitement as students from all four houses gather beneath the enchanted ceiling. The Gryffindor and Slytherin tables have sections left open near the front, prepared for the visiting schools arriving for the Triwizard Tournament. At the staff table, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid, Flitwick, Sprout, and the other professors quietly speak among themselves.
As Dumbledore slowly rises from his seat, the conversations begin to fade. One by one, students turn their attention toward him until the entire Great Hall falls silent. With a warm smile, he looks across the room before speaking. Welcome, students, to another year at Hogwarts. This year, we have the great honor of hosting the return of the Triwizard Tournament.
Bartemius Crouch Sr. steps forward with a serious expression, his posture formal as he addresses the students. Due to the dangers involved, only students who have reached the age of seventeen will be permitted to enter their names into the tournament. No exceptions will be made. His words cause whispers and disappointment among the younger students.
Dumbledore turns toward the entrance of the Great Hall. Please welcome the students and staff of the Durmstrang Institute. The doors open as Durmstrang enters with powerful footsteps, performing their impressive fire staff display before taking their seats. Dumbledore then raises his hand again. Please welcome the students and staff of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Beauxbatons enters with elegance and grace, performing their beautiful dance before joining the others.
Argus Filch suddenly bursts into the Great Hall, his hurried footsteps clattering against the stone floor as he rushes through the large doors. His robes trail behind him as he quickly makes his way across the room, his usual irritated expression replaced with clear urgency. Slightly out of breath, he hurries toward the staff table, clutching his clothing as he approaches Dumbledore and quietly explains the situation.
