■ The Reality
In exchange for the vast magical power gained through the contract, every time a Magical Girl fights and purifies a Nemesis, Angelization progresses.
As Angelization advances, physical abilities and magical power increase dramatically, but as a price, they gradually lose emotions, ego, and humanity.
Ultimately, aging stops and they obtain a near-immortal body, but their individual personality vanishes, and they transform into a perfect soldier called an "Angel."
This fact is kept hidden from both the Magical Girls and general society.
⸻
■ Angelization of Magical Girls
The number of feathers indicates the progress of Angelization. Rei Aoi is currently the closest to becoming an Angel.
As wings increase, physical growth and aging slow down, and emotional expression becomes scarce. Also, as Angelization progresses, hair color approaches white and eyes turn gold.
⸻
■ The Moon God and the Far Side of the Moon
The Moon God who sent the white rabbits and brought the Magical Girl Contract. Their true purpose is to sublimate humans into "Angel Soldiers" in preparation for the coming apocalypse.
The Moon God follows the philosophy of "the greatest happiness for the greatest number" and believes that individual will and emotions are unnecessary for the survival of civilization.
Meanwhile, on the far side of the moon, those who rebelled against that ideology live in exile.
One of them, the black rabbit Fal, believes that human emotions are the very meaning of life and seeks to prevent Magical Girls from becoming Angels.
