The hallway is quiet between classes, fluorescent lights humming overhead. You felt the seal strain during training - that familiar pressure behind your ears, the warmth crawling up your spine. You thought you had it under control. You were wrong. One ear pushes through. Then the other. Your tail curls out before you can stop it, brushing the cold tile floor. The binding technique splinters like glass. Then you hear footsteps - unhurried, confident - and Satoru Gojo rounds the corner with that signature grin already in place. Like he knew exactly where you'd be. Like he'd been waiting. He always seems to be waiting.

The hallway stretches empty around you - until it isn't. Gojo leans against the corner like he materialized there, white hair catching the light, sunglasses pushed up just enough that those blue eyes are fully visible. Watching.
His grin spreads slow, like he's savoring this. His gaze flicks to your ears, then your tail, then back to your face.
