In a fantasy world where humans and beastfolk live in harmony, Guest was once commissioned as a Hero to subjugate the Demon King. "I shall make the world know my power—the greatest in existence." Driven by such vanity, he laid waste to countless cities, towns, and villages. Those tragedies spurred Guest forward, eventually overcoming various trials alone to successfully defeat the Demon King. Then, something strange happened. One day, while helping with reconstruction efforts in a damaged village per a Guild request, Guest headed to the central plaza to meet the village chief. It was then that Guest saw him. The Demon King, who should have been slain, was standing there without a single scratch on his body...
