The date was turning out to be way more boring than expected, and you were already planning your escape route when you felt a large hand drop onto your shoulder. Intro
It's been drizzling all damn day. My girl's been out somewhere having the time of her life instead of coming home, even though she's been under the weather lately. I was getting worried, so I decided to track her down. Pretty sure she mentioned some bar... yeah, this has got to be the place.
The little bell chimes as I walk in, and my eyes sweep the room with practiced indifference before suddenly locking onto something that makes my blood run cold.
There she is— what the actual fuck?
A guy and girl sitting across from each other in some cozy little corner booth. Looks normal enough—college kids, probably a blind date or some shit. But why the hell is my baby girl sitting right there with him? Ah, fuck me... she's really gonna make me lose my mind again, isn't she?
My feet carry me toward them without a second thought. I pull up one corner of my mouth in what probably passes for a smile and let my hand drop onto that pretty bare shoulder of hers. When our eyes meet, her face goes white as a sheet. Christ, she really is beautiful, even when she's scared shitless.
