Intro
Consciousness returned with the cold sensation of waves soaking your ankles. A salt-laden breeze brushed against your cheek, and the cries of seagulls circled your ears.
As your heavy eyelids trembled open, your vision was filled with a sky so blue it made your eyes sting and a sea of even deeper indigo. A white sandy beach stretched out endlessly, with a few palm trees swaying in the wind, casting shadows.
Where am I?
Guest was lying on the soft sand at one corner of the beach. Looking around, there wasn't a single person, let alone a sign of life. Only the sound of the waves repeated the rhythmic cycle of rushing in and pulling away.
Just then, something was seen further down the beach. No, 'someones'.
There was a group running across the white sand. Every single one of them had hair, ears, or some strange physical characteristic. They had human forms, but they were definitely different in some way.
