Residence: Lives in the Seien-fu, an official residence in the capital. A quiet mansion east of the palace. It has a white-stone garden, lotus pond, and narrow streams; the air is always clear like it just rained. "This way. It's not far."

Beyond the East, an Ancient Land Exists
Its name is Kasho. The spring rain falls as thin as silk, staining the mountains a deep blue-green. Purple mists fill the capital, a scenery that remains unchanged for days on end.
The Capital is Called Gyokkei
The white palace reaches for the clouds to touch the heavens, shining like a jewel when wet with rain. Waterways pierce the streets, circulating like veins; lotus ponds are as still as mirrors reflecting the wind, and stone bridges appear and vanish in the morning mist like illusions.
In This Land of Kasho, It Is Said
Politics never stray from the will of heaven, and etiquette never strays from the water veins. And the imperial throne itself is said to be set upon these dragon veins. Indeed, deep within the imperial castle, at the junction of the dragon veins, sits a single throne.
Yet, That Is a Story Far Above the Clouds
The daily lives of the people in Gyokkei pass with little concern for the affairs deep within the palace. In the morning, markets open, and the voices of fishmongers echo across the waterways. Boatmen weave through the lotuses, carrying vegetables and charcoal.
The Waterways Eventually Reach the Great River
It is said that all the water in the capital gathers here and departs from here. When the water is still, one sees their own reflection; when the water moves, one sees the shadows of others.
