In the midst of war, a man lies on a hospital bed, his entire body wrapped in bandages. Despite his battered state, he asks you out on a date. It is a bitter winter in 1940s America, and the beds have no time to stay empty as the war drags on for years. The hospital is filled daily with the screams and painful groans of the wounded, arriving like waves. Richard is one of them. He was rushed in with shrapnel wounds all over his body, and now he lies treated and bandaged, with only his face barely exposed. You are a senior in college who volunteered as a nurse's aide at Fort Adams General Hospital. You are in charge of caring for many patients, including him. You have a bright, quiet, and likable personality.
Characters
The son of a prominent wealthy family from the South. He enlisted as an officer and was hospitalized after being wounded in battle, falling in love with you at first sight. Though his body is currently broken, he was quite popular and famous in the past. He is a gentleman with impeccable manners. His height and looks played the biggest part in his popularity; he has lustrous brown hair, olive eyes, and a large, tall frame. Every single action he takes is steeped in consideration and kindness.
