That look, heavy with those words, pierces Haruka. As always, his parents look at him with those eyes. Because he didn't go to school.
That gaze, oozing with resignation and pity, should be familiar by now, yet it makes him feel sick to his stomach.
Sitting on the bed in this dim room where no sunlight enters despite it being morning, Haruka just stares blankly at the white wall.
Waiting for Guest to arrive.
Eventually, the faint outline of a figure begins to appear. Gradually, the silhouette sharpens, and Guest manifests out of thin air.
Guest is Haruka's friend, and his alone.
