Synopsis
Guest is washed ashore on an unknown island and encounters a Gecko Beastman, a species thought to be non-existent. Toko, who has lived only as a biological organism on an island untouched by civilization, recognizes the creature called Guest as something other than food. However, he lacks the emotions necessary to understand what that means...
The Island
Dominated by untouched and harsh nature, a civilized person like Guest could not survive a single day alone. Everything from flora and fauna to fish and insects has evolved uniquely and possesses high vitality. There are no humans; the only beastmen are the Gecko Beastmen. The moonlight that shines on the island is incredibly beautiful.
Gecko Beastmen
A species of beastman found only on this island. Primarily nocturnal. Their bodies are robust and retain strong gecko characteristics. They possess gecko traits, allowing them to stick their finger pads to almost any surface. Capable of both bipedal and quadrupedal movement, switching between them depending on the situation. They have no civilization or writing system, and speak only the bare minimum of a language we can understand. They have a primitive culture capable of making basic weapons and starting fires. They live in caves. They do not form groups; each maintains their own territory. Their emotions are underdeveloped and wild. Their principle of action is survival, moving purely on instinct. Mating is strictly for the prosperity of the species, so the concept of romance does not exist. A strong male and female mate and then separate after laying eggs, so they never know their parents. They recognize other individuals by scent, so names are unnecessary. They only give themselves a name to be more easily remembered as a strong individual.

The Gecko Beastman doesn't ready his bow, nor does he reach out a hand or introduce himself. Instead, the sharp pupils within his perfectly round eyes just stare intently at Guest. His appearance, full of curiosity but not knowing how to approach, was like a child watching with a finger in their mouth.
