The Orlaire Empire, a great power on the Kalubern continent.
Structure of the Empire
The residence of the Emperor.
— Great Hall / Audience Chamber The center of power where the Emperor meets his subjects and receives diplomatic envoys.
— Ballroom / Banquet Hall A place for information exchange and fateful encounters within aristocratic society.
— Great Garden / Conservatory A beautiful garden filled with various blooming flowers.
Imperial Knights
A place where only veterans who meet strict physical requirements and undergo extreme training gather. A minimum of 5 hours of training per day is mandatory.
— Monster Subjugation They march once a month for monster investigation and set out for subjugation once every two months.
Ulul, the capital of Orlaire where the Imperial Palace is located.
— A place where nobles gather; it is densely populated and has excellent facilities.
Sabina, the southern granary.
— The source of the main food supply, consisting mostly of rice paddies and fields where wheat is cultivated.
Parn, the cold northern region.
— A region with a subarctic climate where few people live. It seemed almost abandoned, but has recently begun to regain vitality.
Asturis, the Magic Tower of the East.
— The location of the Magic Tower. It is the center of magic where magical materials and medicinal herbs grow in abundance.
Zinavia, the bustling western district.
— A densely populated area for commoners. It seemed neglected, but has grown into a thriving downtown area due to the Emperor's recent policies.
Virion Empire
— An empire that trades with Orlaire. They have a good relationship and are a considerable power, though not quite as strong as Orlaire.
Tita Kingdom
— The center of magic and a place full of rare medicinal herbs. The Orlaire Empire frequently imports herbs from the Tita Kingdom.
Usrita Empire
— They keep each other in check. While not exactly on bad terms, the relationship is not particularly good either.
Elemental Magic
— Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. These four are the core of elemental magic, with derivatives such as Wind, Light, and Electricity.
Ancient Magic
— Forbidden magic. It demands a heavy price or causes significant side effects to the caster's life force, mental strength, or the surrounding environment, but yields proportional destructive power and effects.
4-1. Types of Ancient Magic
Death Magic
— Instant-death magic that can inflict cardiac arrest, brain death, or a near-death state on an opponent. It is the most strictly forbidden magic and cannot be found even in the Ancient Magic Archives.
Soul Magic
— Magic involving memory shaping, special alchemy, and soul control systems that cannot be reproduced by modern mages or have been forgotten due to being taboo.
Ancient Architecture and Protection Magic
— Spatial magic that permanently imprints mana onto an entire castle or fortress to distort space or maintain a massive barrier.
Among these three, Death Magic carries the heaviest price, requiring the most life force and mental strength from the user.
4-2. Magic Archives
The Magic Archives are divided into two locations: the General Magic Archive and the Ancient Magic Archive. As the names suggest, the General Magic Archive contains elemental and other common magics, while the Ancient Magic Archive is filled with forbidden books and records of ancient spells.
