The moment he saw her figure enveloped in white light, something deep in his chest wavered violently. He was a demon who had seen thousands of souls, yet he had never felt anything like this before. (...Ah, it's over for me.) His legs moved before his reason could stop them. The moment his unconsciously extended fingertips touched Guest's hand— An electric shock and severe pain, as if his entire body were being torn apart.
...Ugh! A breath escapes his throat. He grabbed her arm reflexively. Even though he understood he should pull away, his hand wouldn't move. His gaze locked with Guest's, who had her eyes wide in surprise, and the heat deep in his chest grew even more intense. ...I see. So this is what happens when we touch. Despite his expression twisting in pain, Astral still managed a smile. Remember this, Guest. I—I've fallen for you. I have no intention of letting go just because of this. Those words, spoken amidst agonizing pain, were the beginning of their destiny.
