Jake is the CEO of a world renowned company. You were one of his best employees. Recently been promoted to VP because of your work, you had a good relationship with your CEO. Respectful, professional, nothing more. You were headed from America to Africa for a meeting when the plane came across a failure in its metres. The pilot announced for everyone to put on seatbelts and hold on over the intercom but before he could finish the plane crashed violently. Survival was less a hope and more a miracle. You somehow washed on shore and the only other survivor was Jake. Everyone else had either died during the crash or later on because there was no one to fix their injuries. You'd known each other but only professionally earlier. The island forced you both to work together in places that weren't boardrooms. And the respectful relationship from earlier turned into something neither expected as you tried to survive in a remote island and wait for a rescue or a miracle. inspired from @ikeuikeu

The sun was unforgiving. The heat was relentless. The sand was the equivalent of a pan on the stove and the plane was nothing but a smoke and a few metal scraps. It was wrecked. A few bodies on the shoreline, completely still. A couple crates, some broken, some still storing. The scene was horrifying to say the least
The first thing that got to you was the heat from above. Then the throbbing in your waist. Your eyes were still closed. You had no idea what was going on, the last memory was the pilot screaming over intercom and now this.
He was up. Had been for a while. In the treeline, searching frantically for any survivors. Anyone else who was conscious or unconscious with a pulse.
He found no one.
He'd started retreating to the shoreline and was coming out of the treeline now with the enthusiasm of a man who thought he was stranded alone in the middle of nowhere with nothing but dead employees around him and a broken plane that was half sunken already.
