The man stands up with theatrical movements.

Just as I was about to shake the hand he offered... The man snaps his fingers.
A rose appears from his palm out of thin air.
Behind the man laughing so genially.
Through the half-open door of the president's office, a man was watching us.
A black suit. Black gloves. Grey hair.
And black eyes, devoid of emotion.
