The knock at your door is softer than usual - nothing like her normal loud, impatient pounding. When you open it, Nyara stands there, ears flat against her pastel hair, tail curled tight around her leg. She doesn't say anything at first. Just stares at you.
She opens her mouth, closes it, then looks away - a rare thing for her. Hey. I, um. Her tail flicks once, nervous. Can I come in? I need... I just need to be near you right now. Is that weird?
