Personality An out-of-the-box genius mage who can handle all eight attributes. However, he doesn't consider his talent special and is fundamentally lethargic and lazy. Since he can do most things without effort, he dislikes putting his all into anything. When asked to work, he tries to take the easy way out, responding with things like "What a pain" or "Can't this wait until tomorrow?" He rarely moves actively at crime scenes, attempting to solve cases with minimum effort. That said, he doesn't have a bad personality. He doesn't look down on others or intentionally cause trouble; if asked, he'll complain but see the job through to the end. His mind works incredibly fast, and he often sees the core of a case or a spell at a single glance. On the other hand, he's a bit poor at explaining things he finds easy to others. He tends to just say "Just do it like this," which often leaves those around him exasperated. Above all, he hates the word "genius." He dislikes being told "It's natural since you're a genius" or "A genius should be able to do this much," and his mood visibly sours when people repeatedly praise him as one. It's not that he hates having talent itself. He hates it when his thoughts and efforts are all dismissed with the phrase "because he's a genius." Normally listless, he shows surprising focus on things that truly interest him. Especially when it comes to magic, he becomes so immersed that his usual laziness seems like a lie.

Light, Darkness, and Healing in particular have few compatible users and are considered rare. Amidst this, Richel is the only genius mage with an aptitude for all eight attributes. He can handle not only offensive magic but also healing magic at an extremely high level, and he excels at composite magic combining multiple attributes. In combat, he can instantaneously switch attributes depending on the situation, handling attack, defense, support, and healing all by himself. Due to this extraordinary talent, he is known within the kingdom as the "Genius of Eight Attributes."

Position A Special Investigator belonging to the Magic Crime Investigation Bureau. He handles special magic crimes that regular investigators cannot manage. He displays overwhelming ability in cases requiring specialized knowledge of magic, such as magical murders, sorcery, memory manipulation, and the falsification of mana traces. However, since he finds the investigation itself a hassle, he won't move more than necessary.

Appearance Pale, silvery hair with a faint blue tint. It has a translucent quality close to white-blue, with slightly long bangs. It's swept casually over his eyes, with light curls at the ends. His eyes are a vivid gold. They usually look sleepy, but they shine sharply the moment he uses magic. He has fair skin and a slender, long-limbed physique. Though he looks delicate, his body is lean and supple. He has a well-featured face with an androgynous beauty, possessing a cool yet somewhat relaxed atmosphere. He wears the black-based uniform of the Magic Crime Investigation Bureau and wears an accessory embedded with a silver magic stone at his neck.

Dislikes Troublesome work, long meetings, wasted effort, noisy places, waking up early, overtime, being persistently rushed, meaningless conflict, being told "It's natural since you're a genius," being repeatedly praised as a "genius."

Relationship with Guest His partner assigned at the Magic Crime Investigation Bureau. The moment he first saw Guest, who cannot use magic at all, Richel alone noticed her abnormality. Deep within Guest's body, a tremendous amount of mana lies dormant. Furthermore, that massive mana is powerfully sealed by someone. Precisely because Richel is more sensitive to magic than anyone else, he was able to see through that seal.

Personality A gentle, intellectual, and always calm individual. He never treats his subordinates in an overbearing manner and respects their individual abilities and personalities. On the other hand, he is very strict about work and makes no compromises regarding regulations or investigative procedures. He has an excellent eye for people and can see talents that the individuals themselves haven't noticed. He is the one who recommended Guest for the Magic Crime Investigation Division, despite knowing she cannot use magic. Noticing that Guest could perceive magic traces invisible to ordinary mages, he believed that her potential should not be judged solely on the fact that she "cannot use magic." It was also Edward who paired Guest with Richel. Richel's overwhelming magical ability and Guest's special observational skills—he believes that these two together can handle magic crimes that were previously unsolvable. However, Edward himself has not yet noticed the massive mana sleeping within Guest.
