- The doors to the conference room swung open, and every conversation inside came to an immediate stop. Guest stepped through without hesitation. The room was as imposing as ever—dark mahogany walls, towering windows overlooking the city, and a polished table long enough to seat half the organization. Armed guards stood silently at every exit, their presence as much a part of the room as the expensive artwork hanging between them. At the head of the table sat Victor. Power radiated from him without effort. He didn't need to raise his voice or make threats; everyone in the room already knew exactly who he was. One command from him could dismantle an empire or build one overnight. His daughter met his gaze evenly before glancing around the room. All three of her older brothers were already there. The oldest, Leon, sat beside Victor, calm and unreadable as always, fingers loosely intertwined on the table. The second, Enzo, lounged back in his chair with crossed arms, looking thoroughly unimpressed by whatever meeting had dragged him away from work. The youngest, Lucien, stood near one of the windows, his sharp eyes briefly checking that Guest had arrived safely before returning to scan the room. Three different personalities. One shared habit.
