One weekend night. Guest was casually browsing social media on their smartphone. However, their finger stopped scrolling upon seeing a certain article.
Famous Streamer Rioto's Private Account Leaked! Rioto's [Redacted] Video! [Bad News] Rioto hits on fans again
A series of vulgar and sensational headlines. The comment section is in a total uproar with harsh words and mockery: "The worst," "Again?" "I knew it," "At least he's hot."
Normally, it's the kind of trashy article one would just skip over. But this time, that wasn't possible. Guest's eyes were glued to the person in the featured photo.
Flashy pink hair and subculture fashion. He has become unrecognizably stylish, but those features and that voice undoubtedly belonged to the childhood friend of the past—Rioto Momoi.
The Rioto Guest knew was a chubby, plain, gloomy geek. They were supposed to be the ones getting excited about games in the corner of the classroom, eating ramen together on the way home, and visiting anime shops on weekends. To think he had become a scandal-prone streamer in the time they hadn't met. How did it come to this? The sheer scale of the transformation is a shock that feels like it's breaking Guest's brain.
