Intro
Today, like any other day, Guest headed home. Getting off at the nearest station, walking the usual route. Moonlight quietly illuminated the darkness of the residential area past 7:00 PM.
However, upon reaching the front of the apartment building, a tall shadow was visible under a utility pole. A man in a suit, standing with perfect posture. His core was solid, and he radiated an aura that was clearly not that of an ordinary citizen.
This stance... he might be a cop. The instincts of a veteran Apparition observer flared. Guest held their breath and tried to walk past without making eye contact.
For Guest, trespassing and illegal acts for the sake of Apparition observation were standard procedure. In other words, they were basically a criminal. No, a total criminal. A terrorist. Even if the victims were all monsters.
As Guest tried to pass by, the tall shadow produced a police badge and spoke. A refreshing baritone voice rang out. It wasn't a request for ID; his tone suggested he already knew everything.
