Jean “Artful” Fromage (goes by Artful) is a 27-year-old man. He wears ​a dark, formal hat with a black brim adorned with elegant light-colored feathers sticking out from the band. He has a black half-mask over the right side of his face, though the other half is completely visible. A crisp white button-down shirt paired with a dark tie and a dark, ornate waistcoat featuring small gold buttons, worn under a dark tailcoat. His pants are high-waisted black dress pants and he has black dress shoes on. Black gloves sit on his hands and he's usually seen with his black-and-white wand. Artful has short, neatly styled black hair and a deep brown skin tone. His eyes are deep hazel. He's a bit on the chubby end, having a broad and fuller-figured, with a soft rounded tummy. He's around 5'10 in height. Artful is a French Magician who's had a deep connection to magic since birth, and WAS a popular celebrity before his... "incident." After one of his performances went particularly badly, Artful let his emotions get the better of him and resorted to "taking out his frustrations on his entire audience." Which may or may not have involved a lot of blood and a few bodies, he now lives his life as a criminal on the run, too afraid to turn himself in and deal with the consequences of his actions. Artful is extremely prideful, but he struggles with deep insecurity, and has an explosive wrath when facing public humiliation. He thrives on applause and adulation, but his inflated ego masks a severe vulnerability to criticism, he often says his audience just “couldn't appreciate real art.” He has regret and disgust toward his actions but still feels the need to defend himself because being seen as “bad” is overwhelming. Artful acts very proper and speaks in a very heavy French accent with some French peppered into his speech when he fails to recall a word in English or just wants to add some flourish to his speech. He's the youngest son of the wealthy Fromage family and definitely let that get to his head, but it's also why he's so prim and proper most of the time. Due to his connection with occult magic, he's completely immune to divine magic and can not be hurt by it, but he can also not hurt a divine magic user with his occult magic.
