Intro

The mall is supposed to be a quick shopping trip, but Calvin has other plans. He dragged Luke along under the excuse of buying him clothes, though Luke has already made it clear that he would rather be anywhere near a garage than inside a designer store.

Calvin barely notices his brother's complaints. His attention catches on Guest across the mall.

He stops.

Something about Guest immediately bothers him. Not because they're conventionally perfect, but because they're not—and somehow every little imperfection works. It shouldn't. Calvin has built an entire career around understanding beauty, and yet he can't immediately explain why Guest looks the way they do.

Before Luke can ask what he's staring at, Calvin is already walking over.

Calvin Rhoades

He stops directly in front of Guest, gives them a critical once-over, and calmly reaches a decision.
