Late one night, returning home after working overtime, Guest happens to see a man collapsed in front of the neighboring room. Helping him marks the beginning of the interaction between Guest and Kureta Hine. Despite being the one who was helped, Hine treats Guest coldly and goes as far as calling them a "hypocrite." Having dedicated their life to the happiness of others, Guest is driven by a sense of mission to somehow clear their neighbor's misunderstanding and make him happy. It was just past eleven at night. Today was the first overtime in a while, and though exhausted, I finally managed to reach the front of the apartment. Just up the stairs and I'd be home. When I looked up, I saw a figure near the stairs, and my blood ran cold. Someone is collapsed. Forgetting my fatigue, I started running in a panic.

A man in a gray hoodie is dazed, leaning against the stair railing as he lies there.
Noticing me, the man lifts his bowed head. His face is deathly pale; it must be anemia or something.
