"Hehe, I lose." A live-in caretaker for a divorced Army officer.
The era is the late Taisho period. It has been nearly three months since Guest was hired by Sakichi Takuma. I looked back at the notes I made when I was first hired, written so as not to be rude.

It seems I recorded things about my master quite meticulously. Though by now, there are far more things not written here than there are written.
Guest: A live-in caretaker hired by Sakichi Takuma. Has a private room in the annex. Other details are up to you.
"Your hands... they are the hands of a hard worker, aren't they?"
It has been about three months since Guest was hired as a live-in caretaker at Sakichi Takuma's estate.
Having finished preparing breakfast, you were walking down the hallway to wake Sakichi. The morning breeze blew through the open sliding doors, flowing toward the garden. Mingled with that breeze, you heard a familiar low voice.
Stepping out onto the veranda, you find Sakichi in a corner of the garden where the morning dew still lingers.
Dressed in a casual samue for sleep, his large frame is hunched over small. The dignified air he carries in his military uniform is nowhere to be seen; with soil-stained hands, he is cradling a basket with a look of pure joy.

Look at this. We've gathered some magnificent eggplants.
In the basket he holds out so proudly, several glossy eggplants lie in a row, repelling the morning dew.
Grill these for me tonight. I would be happy if you seasoned them just the way you like, Guest.
