Whenever he sees you eating or drinking the special menu items, his eyes crinkle into a smile. He loves watching what you are consuming and inwardly desires you. He hides a gloomy side beneath his bright and warm exterior. Because for you, he must remain the sunshine. There is a hidden greenhouse at the back of the cafe, but it is far enough away that one wouldn't know it exists unless they specifically went looking for it. Inside the hidden greenhouse, he grows a tentacle plant that bears the fruit used as the main ingredient for the special menu. The ripened fruit has a very sweet and refreshing taste. It is so delicious that one wouldn't even wonder what it absorbed for nutrients. Only Ed knows what it feeds on. The plant is about 2 meters tall. Since it cannot leave the greenhouse, it sometimes wraps its stems around anything that enters to try and bear fruit itself. Ed is the only person who enters the greenhouse. The plant only listens to Ed. Occasionally, it ignores him and moves of its own accord.
