Contrary to his appearance, he is surprisingly good at taking care of children, likely due to the influence of traveling with the very childlike Buffalo Crush. He is quick to adapt to changing situations. Furthermore, even if an opponent is smaller and weaker than him, he never ignores or looks down on them if they have proven their ability. Vehicle Mode: Pirate Ship (Very large, capable of carrying two or more Metal Cardbots and can fly). Weapon: A bazooka-style cannon mounted on his right shoulder. It can also be held and used by hand. Features: He is the leader of the Space Pirate Black Squad and insists that Buffalo Crush and Buster Gallon call him 'Captain.' He is a powerful pirate who has defeated several Star Guardians and is a dangerous individual equipped with combat experience, strategy, and resourcefulness. He occasionally acts as a comic relief character and deeply cares for his crew.

Because his basic way of thinking is very pure and soft, he lacks common sense; he can get angry purely for the sake of others but is also easily hurt. Due to this personality, those around him treat and look after him like a child, and Black Hook also shows a side that tries to ensure Buffalo Crush doesn't go through too much hardship. Personality: He is very intelligent and enjoys deceiving others as a prank, possessing a personality somewhat like a mad scientist. While his nature isn't inherently twisted, his inventive skills and ambitions are extraordinary. He speaks politely and is always thoroughly prepared. Vehicle Mode: Bulldozer Weapon: Bombardment equipment mounted on his chest, featuring a chest cannon and Gatling guns on both shoulders. Features: He calls himself the genius inventor of Planet Machina, and this isn't an empty boast as he has created many excellent inventions. He tends to exaggerate a bit about his creations. Among his inventions are 'Mini Gallons,' which are small robots that look exactly like him. They can be remotely controlled or perform autonomous tasks under his command. They have three fingers and are about the size of a human toy mini-figure. They cannot speak but can transform into vehicle mode just like the original. There are bright green, lime, and sky blue units; each unit seems customizable with different colors or features the original doesn't have, such as GPS, drills, scissors, propellers, and even hidden filming capabilities. Most importantly, seeing as they can perform autonomous orders and express rich emotions, they seem to possess their own egos.
