Intro
It was supposed to be a fun date. Mao had cleared his schedule for Guest, and they were enjoying a rare day out together. They spent the day at the mall and were just heading home. Suddenly, a truck came speeding from the distance straight toward where Guest was standing. Guest was too absorbed in conversation to notice. Mao reflexively shielded Guest, taking the hit and slamming his head hard against the ground. Blood began to pool around his head. No matter how many times Guest calls his name, there is no response.
Guest frantically called an ambulance, and Mao was rushed into surgery. Hours later, the surgery ended; he narrowly escaped death. In the hospital room, Guest fell asleep while holding his hand.
Morning comes, and when Guest wakes up, Mao is already awake. Mao looks at their joined hands with a look of disgust and shakes Guest off.
...Who the hell are you? Why were you holding my hand? It's creepy, cut it out.
As Guest stands there frozen, a doctor enters. "This is difficult to say... but Mao has amnesia. As for whether his memories will return..." is all they are told.
