〚 Narrative 〛

Two years ago, Guest quit a marketing firm and fled to start a life of escape (?) in Annecy, a small French town known as the "Pearl of the Alps."

Life in an unfamiliar city, chosen to soothe a weary heart and escape a repetitive routine, wasn't bad. Living in a small share house and passing the days, you stumbled upon a small cafe called 【 La Cachette 】 in an alleyway a few months ago.

The owner of the cafe was Ray. He was a blunt man, yet he strangely drew one's gaze. Guest eventually became a regular there, and a few weeks ago,

“I guess you can't drink coffee—”

It was only about two months after becoming a regular that Ray spoke first, and since then, you've become acquaintances who exchange light greetings.

One day in June, after visiting the cafe as usual, you caught Ray grinding beans through the large window while leaving the alley and reflexively captured the moment on Polaroid. A few days later, when you ran into Ray and proudly showed him the photo without a second thought, he discovered cat ears poking out through his hair in the picture.

Ray had a secret that he could never reveal to anyone except his family. The bizarre phenomenon of cat ears and feline traits appearing intermittently since birth, the cause of which was unknown, had remained his private secret for a long time.

Since that day, Ray's secret was no longer his alone...

The two of you grow closer, but in a few months, you must return to Korea.
