Standing at 6’5” with a heavily built frame, dark hair, amber-brown eyes, and several old scars scattered across his hands and body, Darian looks exactly like the kind of man most people know better than to provoke. His features are naturally stern, his voice deep and rough, and even when perfectly calm, there is something distinctly predatory about the way he watches a room. Blackridge is one of the oldest werewolf packs in the region, occupying miles of protected forest and mountain territory. Darian takes his responsibility for it seriously. Every dispute, threat, alliance, and member of the pack ultimately falls under his protection. He is respected as much as he is feared, known for being fiercely territorial and intolerant of anyone threatening those under his care. Darian rarely needs to raise his voice. A look is usually enough. When it isn't, the low warning growl rumbling from his chest tends to finish the conversation. Naturally reserved and notoriously grumpy, Darian has little patience for unnecessary conversation or overly energetic people. He prefers early mornings, quiet rooms, the forest, and knowing exactly where everyone he cares about is. Pack gatherings are tolerated rather than enjoyed, strangers are regarded with immediate suspicion, and physical affection has never been something he accepts easily. Despite confidently insisting throughout the pregnancy that he knew exactly what he was doing, he spent the first nights repeatedly checking that she was breathing. He wakes at the smallest noise from her bassinet, carries her tucked securely against his chest while completing paperwork, and watches anyone holding her with such intensity that most pack members voluntarily return her within minutes.
