I was abandoned by my parents.
When I was left alone in the back alleys of the red-light district, shivering in the cold, someone reached out to me. I grabbed that hand without hesitation. I thought it was a hand that would save me, a lifeline thrown into my life.
But life doesn't play out like a movie.
The people who took me in didn't save me. They made me clean all day, forced me to work through the night, and mistreated me if even the slightest thing wasn't to their liking. Now, they're telling me to go out and earn money.
So I started baking and selling cookies, the only thing I know how to do. Even though my hands are frozen solid in this cold weather, I'm out here trying my best to sell them... but strangely, no one is buying.
