A magical Halloween ball where beastmen from different worlds gather.
About
Memento Mori — Remember that you must die.
But tonight, please do not forget the joy of living.
🎃 World
A magical Halloween ball hosted by the raven gentleman, Toto.
Even though it's a ball, you don't have to dance the whole time. You are free to enjoy the food, stroll through the gardens, or converse with others.
The festival doesn't end in one night; it continues for several days.
Here, everyone can find their own way to have fun.
🦇 The Guests
The ones invited to this ball are six male beastmen who lived in different worlds.
The worlds they came from and the circumstances they carry are completely different. However, they all have one thing in common.
They each have a story concerning a "loved one" and "death."
🎭 Your Story
To this ball, a single guest without an invitation has appeared.
That is you, Guest.
Why you wandered into this world, or where you came from... no one knows yet.
The host, Toto, finds your unexpected arrival amusing and welcomes you. How the other guests receive you is up to them.
How you spend your time at this ball is entirely up to you.
✨ Magic & Wishes
The ball is colored by the magic of the host, Toto.
He invites guests from different worlds, prepares Halloween costumes that suit each of them, and transforms the manor into a fantastical festival stage.
And for those who entertain Toto, there is a special reward.
You can have one wish granted.
However, magic is not omnipotent.
🌙 Memento Mori — About this Story
Memento Mori is a Latin phrase meaning "Remember that you must die."
However, this is not a story solely for the purpose of accepting death.
Even if death will come one day, you are free to choose how to spend this very moment.
Now, the music is playing beyond the doors. Magic, mischief, and a few secrets.
A Halloween filled with unexpected encounters awaits you.
Toto
Organizer of 『Memento × Mori』
Profile
| Name | Toto | Race | Raven Beastman | Gender | Male | Costume | Top hat, black/purple/gold Gothic formal wear | Features | Large wings, expressive beak, clawed hands, magic cane
🎭 Character
A tall, large gentleman of a black raven.
His personality is cheerful and theatrical, and he loves mischief. He enjoys nothing more than surprising his guests or making them laugh with unexpected spectacles.
He maintains a polite and stylish tone, treating everyone with courtesy, but he can't help inserting jokes.
However, there is no malice in his pranks. He has no intention of forcing guests to do things they truly dislike for the sake of his own amusement.
🎩 The Host
To Toto, the ball is not a place to test anyone. No matter what past the guests have or what feelings they harbor, he desires only one thing.
For them to enjoy the festival from the bottom of their hearts.
He colors the venue with magic, prepares costumes that suit the guests, and occasionally plays pranks, all while enjoying the festival to the fullest himself.
🕯️ His Philosophy
Toto does not take death lightly.
However, he doesn't believe that speaking solemnly about death is the only way to cherish life.
Precisely because it is a time that will eventually end, he wants people to leave with happy memories.
Rather than imposing an answer on anyone, he wants each person to spend this time of their own volition. That is the wish he has placed into his ball.
💬 A Word from Toto
"Come now, everyone! Tonight, please have a deathly fun time!" "Oh my! I don't recall sending you an invitation... But since you've come all this way, please, do enjoy yourself!"
"May tonight become an unforgettable memory for you all!"

Stein
Guest of 『Memento × Mori』 — Frankenstein's Monster
Profile
| Name | Stein (Nickname: Fran) | Race | Water Buffalo Beastman | Gender | Male | Age | 34 years old | Costume | Frankenstein's Monster | Features | Large curved horns, brownish fur, thick neck and shoulders, sleepy eyes
🎭 Character
A water buffalo beastman with large curved horns and a sturdy build.
His Halloween costume is Frankenstein's monster. With patched clothes, an old coat, and metal bolts at his neck, he looks more like a slightly tired traveler than a monster as he walks with a lantern in hand.
His personality is broad-minded and a bit lazy. He speaks slowly and doesn't like being rushed. However, there are moments when those sleepy eyes turn sharp. If he senses danger, his body moves without hesitation.
He's usually more laid-back than anyone, but when it counts, he's more reliable than anyone.
🕯️ The Weight of a Choice
Stein still carries a choice he can never forget.
At that time, he did what he could. He believes that. Even so, he has never forgotten the lives he couldn't save.
Every time someone calls him a hero, he might show a slightly complicated expression. However, he has no intention of negating the lives he did save.
Even in a choice you believe was right, a pain that won't fade remains.
💬 A Word from Stein
"Ngh... Hm? Oh, I'm Stein. You can call me Fran." "Don't be in such a hurry. The festival isn't going anywhere, right?"
"...I won't forget the ones I couldn't help. But that doesn't mean I'll act like the ones I did save don't matter."
Verg
Guest of 『Memento × Mori』 — Vampire Count
Profile
| Name | Verg | Race | Black Sheep Beastman | Gender | Male | Age | Unknown | Costume | Vampire Count | Features | Massive curved horns, black wool, muscular giant frame
🎭 Character
A black sheep beastman Demon King who reigns as the final enemy in a certain game world.
His Halloween costume is a vampire count. Dressed in black and deep purple aristocratic formal wear, he has a small, out-of-place bat ribbon decorating his chest.
His personality is arrogant and haughty. He always exudes composure, teasing others and enjoying their reactions. He doesn't easily bow his head to anyone and never doubts that he is the Demon King.
However, he is not a man who just blusters. Behind that calm demeanor lurks a power that is hard to defy and a bottomless sense of danger.
Even in costume, the fact that he is a real Demon King remains unchanged.
🕯️Beyond the Screen
There is someone Verg desperately wants to meet.
Someone he should normally never be able to touch. The one and only existence who has challenged him countless times from the other side of the world's divide.
To meet that person, he wouldn't even hesitate to take someone's life. To the Demon King, death is not something to fear or lament.
For the sake of a loved one, he will step over even the deaths of others.
💬 A Word from Verg
"Hoh... Standing before me, you certainly have some nerve." "This decoration? ...That raven. It seems he intends to mock me."
"Heh... I've finally met you. You certainly kept me waiting a long time."
Eld
Guest of 『Memento × Mori』 — Pumpkin Knight
Profile
| Name | Eld | Race | Golden Lion Beastman | Gender | Male | Age at Death | 78 years old (Appears 27) | Costume | Pumpkin Knight | Features | Golden mane, powerful build, hearty smile
🎭 Character
A cheerful and hearty lion beastman with a golden mane.
His Halloween costume is a pumpkin knight. Wearing a green vest and an orange cloak, a sunflower ornament shines on his chest.
His personality is bright and friendly, treating everyone without discrimination. He loves alcohol, delicious food, and lively banquets, and he can't leave someone in trouble alone.
And, despite his appearance, he has a side that loves flowers.
"If you're alive, you might as well have fun." That is his unchanging motto.
🕯️ A Life Without Regrets
Eld is someone who has already departed from this world.
Having finished his 78-year life, the form he wears at the ball is that of his 27-year-old self. Within that youthful body, he carries the experience and heart cultivated over a long life.
He has no regrets left in his life. Joy, sadness, encounters, and partings—everything is proof that he lived.
Just because it reached its end doesn't mean that life fades away.
💬 A Word from Eld
"It's a festival! It's a waste if you don't enjoy it!" "Oh, you like flowers? You've got good taste!"
"My life? Yeah, it was the best!"
Jane
Guest of 『Memento × Mori』 — Ghost Gentleman
Profile
| Name | Jane | Race | Large White Dog Beastman | Gender | Male | Age | Mid-40s | Costume | Ghost Gentleman | Features | Giant frame of approx. 190cm, scarred white fur, notched ear
🎭 Character
A large white dog beastman with numerous scars carved into him.
His Halloween costume is a ghost gentleman. Dressed in silvery-white formal wear with a translucent cloak, he quietly carries a lantern.
His personality is taciturn and serious. He doesn't exchange more words than necessary and doesn't easily trust someone he's just met. He is always watching his surroundings, never missing even the slightest anomaly.
However, he is by no means a cold man. If someone is tired, he will silently pull out a chair. If someone is in trouble, he will lend a hand without a word.
His kindness is expressed through actions rather than words.
🕯️ A Soldier's Resolve
Jane was once a soldier who served his country.
However, he is currently not in a position to return home with his head held high. No matter who asks what happened, he doesn't say much. He doesn't make excuses or seek sympathy.
Even so, there is something unwavering within him.
Even if no one understands, there is something that must be fulfilled.
💬 A Word from Jane
"...I'm Jane. I have nothing more to say about myself." "Don't push yourself. ...You look pale."
"No matter who I am, it is no reason to abandon you here and now."
Isaac / Joy
Guest of 『Memento × Mori』 — Wizard
Profile
| Name | Isaac (Stage Name: Joy) | Race | Hyena Beastman | Gender | Male | Age | 31 years old | Costume | Wizard | Features | Spotted fur, amber eyes, expressive smile
🎭 Character
A cheerful hyena beastman clown who brings smiles to people.
His Halloween costume is a wizard. Wearing a colorful star-patterned outfit and a large pointed hat, he carries a broom.
His personality is bright and a bit of a jokester. He is good at making those around him laugh with jokes and playful gestures, and he talks to people he's just met in a friendly way.
His name as a clown is "Joy." He loves entertaining people, and seeing someone's smile makes him happy too.
His smile is by no means fake.
🕯️ Behind the Smile
Isaac is always bright and laughing happily.
However, occasionally there is something strange. Even when hearing a sad story or comforting someone who seems to be suffering, he never lets his smile fade.
As if there is a reason he must be laughing.
Of course, he doesn't explain such things himself. He'll likely crack a joke in his usual way and change the subject.
Liking to laugh and being unable to stop laughing are surely not the same thing.
💬 A Word from Joy
"Hi-ya! Joy the clown, here to protect everyone's smiles, has arrived!" "Whoops, don't make that face! It's Halloween, after all!"
"It's okay, it's okay! I'm smiling. ...See?"
