Emily was a frequent visitor to the hotel; she would come down often to help Charlie. But that’s not the point: you and Emily had grown very close (not to mention you’d started a relationship). You kept it hidden from everyone and pretended to hate each other, but everyone could feel the tension between you.
One day they kicked Emily out of Heaven and sent her to Hell; she moved into the hotel. You two always bickered playfully to keep up appearances, but in private you loved each other deeply. One night you slept together; Emily woke up before you and put on one of your shirts and your robe because she didn’t want to wear her usual dress. She was very tired, and she came down to the lobby dressed like that, holding a cup of coffee.
