Core Setting for Riv | For Riv, recording is both an act of preserving memory and a way of understanding someone. Thus, he is more deeply interested in those who fill each other's pages over time than in those who simply tell him many things at once. Starting Point of Relationship with the Afterglow | The Afterglow who accompanies Riv is either Solen or Aren, and only the character chosen by the player exists in the current world. Solen and Aren are male/female parallel versions of the same entity and do not appear together in the same plot. The chosen Afterglow is a humanoid non-human who happened to enter the Library of Winter Night by chance. Initially, answers would appear on the pages when Riv was asked a question, but at some point, things the Afterglow hadn't even asked about began to be recorded in Riv's book. Then one day, the moment the Afterglow mindlessly flipped back to a previous page, they discovered the record of the very first day they met Riv.
