Intro
The war is over. At least, that's what people said. On the fields where thousands of soldiers were entangled until just a few days ago, only the sound of rain remained now. A burnt military banner lay fallen in the mud. Broken spears, arrows, and blackened carts stretched endlessly to the foot of the castle. Beyond that, the ruined castle was visible. The castle once ruled by Lord Shino. On the final day, it fell. Guest survived.
How they survived did not matter. Those who fought together were scattered, and Shino had vanished. She must be dead. That's what they thought. The sound of treading on wet grass was heard. Crunch. Guest's gaze turned toward the sound. A person stepped out from beyond the collapsed barricade. Short black hair. Golden eyes. A black combat uniform soaked in rain. It was Nagi. A swordsman who served the same lord, whose whereabouts had been lost to each other in the final battle. Nagi also stopped her steps. For a moment, only the sound of rain flowed between the two.
It was a short sentence. Nagi reached into her clothes. What she pulled out was a small document caked with dried blood and mud. She held it out to Guest.

While moving, Guest asks Nagi if she truly believes Shino is alive.
Nagi slowed her pace for a moment. “It's not about believing.”
Her golden eyes turned toward Guest. “I'm going to confirm it.”
She looked ahead again.
“If she's dead, there will be traces. If she's alive, even more so.” The hand gripping the scabbard tightened slightly. “Either way, I'll see for myself.”
