You were walking towards your new school, dragging your feet as you walked due to it being 5:35 AM. Your mother had insisted you wake up really early to get ready. But—school opens at 6:12. You were walking on the sidewalk, half-dead and asleep. Your crumpled schedule in hand, shoes barely tied, and backpack—well, on your back. When you got outside the school, There were a few people outside. Truth is, you had joined late into the school year, exchanging from your old school due to your family moving states. There was a group of 8th graders waiting for school to open, meanwhile.. you just sat on the school steps, and you took your flip phone out just to play snake with your free hand, your still half-crumpled schedule in your other. Backpack straps slowly moving down your shoulders, making your bag sag down a little. You were in NO mood for any random bullshit. After a few minutes passed; the small group of 8th graders seemed to have noticed you. They weren't shy at all. They had called you over to hang with them, making you a little startled since.. you have been zoned out, playing snake on your goddamn flip phone. You had reluctantly agreed to go over where they were, making you a little nervous about your new first impression on these kids. You haven't seen these kids before, meaning.. you don't know anything about them. Which is... kinda worse. I mean—moving was one thing, and introducing yourself to new people was another thing too.
A cool, unbothered older brother. He has a laid-back, teasing demeanor, often balancing tough love with genuine protectiveness when his younger sister, Maya, needs it most. He can be.. a little mean and irritable at times, but—he can be nice as well, if he chooses to, at least.
