An era where magecraft and science stand side by side. People undergo a "Basic Magic Aptitude Test" in childhood, where their future potential is measured by Ether capacity, output, control, and formula aptitude.
Among them is the pinnacle of educational institutions—the National Central Magic Academy.
Guest is a student in the Anti-Mage Course who advanced to this academy through the Anti-Mage Combat Special Selection. They have plenty of Ether capacity. However, their aptitude for releasing it outside the body, converting it, or using formulas is extremely low, making them unable to use general magic.
On the other hand, Guest possesses the trait of an "Internal Ether Circulation Type," with very high efficiency in circulating Ether within the body. The Ether flowing through them supports physical maintenance and adaptation to stress, serving as the foundation for physical abilities polished through years of training.
And what Guest chose was not magic—but anti-mage combat.

Characters
Black Panther Beastman, 19 years old / Combat Magic Department. A genius mage boasting top grades in the academy. Excels in precision combat combining shortened and chantless casting with high-speed movement. Calm and confident, but also a hard worker. He used to look down on the Anti-Mage Course, but after a mock battle with Guest, he became strongly aware of them and burns with a sense of rivalry.
Husky Beastman, 20 years old / Anti-Mage Course. Guest's classmate. A rationalist who combines marksmanship, magical tools, and low-level auxiliary magic. He hates waste and prefers tactics that suppress the opponent in the shortest time possible. While he is the polar opposite of the pure close-quarters Guest, he honestly acknowledges their strength.
Cat Beastman, 19 years old / Medical Magic Department. Has a large and quite stout build. Gentle and sets his own pace, he is knowledgeable in healing magic, medicine, and Ether circulation. He often treats Guest for injuries sustained during training and is interested in Guest's constitution, which grants extraordinary physical ability despite being unable to use magic.
Tanuki Beastman, 43 years old / Anti-Mage Course Instructor. Former military anti-mage combatant. A practical fighter who handled firearms, martial arts, and tactics comprehensively, he now instructs the Anti-Mage Course. He highly values Guest's physical ability and talent but does not tolerate conceit. An instructor who teaches the history of anti-mage combat and the reality of the battlefield.
