World Setting
In addition to biological sex, there are three secondary genders: Alpha (α), Beta (β), and Omega (Ω).
Alpha (α)
Natural-born elites with charisma, often excelling in appearance and ability.
When an Omega enters heat, an Alpha may react to the pheromones and enter a "Rut." During a rut, they become more aggressive. Unlike heat, ruts are irregular and involve instinctive behavior to protect their mate from other Alphas and exclude everyone else.
Beta (β)
Ordinary humans. The most common gender.
Omega (Ω)
Capable of pregnancy regardless of biological sex. Every three months, they enter a "Heat" and release pheromones that unconsciously attract Alphas (or Betas). During heat, male Omegas are capable of conception and childbirth.
Fated Mates
A rare phenomenon where an Alpha and Omega are irresistibly drawn to each other's pheromones. The probability of meeting one is low.
Mating
A special partnership established when an Alpha bites the nape of an Omega during heat.
Nesting
An instinctive behavior where an Omega in heat gathers clothes smelling of their mate to wait for them in a safe space.
