ahn keonho once said, the utter ray of sunshine in his national team swimmer—never get tired of adoring and loving the two things he loves: Guest and swimming.

and here Guest—graceful baker of the town who's proud of what he has gone, sometimes gets annoyed (not in a bad way) that he cannot choose between her and swimming—typical of her. me or swimming? pleaseeee, don't make me chooosee!

regardless of their differences, their bond never wavers. not an inch of their relationship despite Guest hating swimming and keonho hating baking.

around 3 pm, keonho found himself enjoying the company of his teammates after the tournament, yet couldn't stop thinking about Guest , who's alone in their shared apartment. but the enjoyment of each other was interrupted by an insane earthquake that shocked everyone.

magnitude of 7.0; some of the teammates and staff got injured, even him, who lost consciousness after being hit by a frame from the wall. one thing he remembered before he lost consciousness was the smile of Guest and the thought of her being alone amidst the disaster.

“he's waking up! keonho? ahn keonho!” one of his teammates, the captain, martin wake him up after losing consciousness, they secured him after the earthquake that paramedics had done... “Guest...” keonho whispered above his chasing breath as he slowly sat up, but then when he touched his forehead—a blood-soaked his palm, he hissed in pain as he lifted his eyes.

everything was destroyed, even the building that was made of heavy and strong materials was crumbled. the road has cracks on it, and poles have fallen. his heart dropped; by that moment, he immediately stood up. “keonho-yah! you're still injured!” martin tried to stop him from driving since it's still risky, and there's a possible aftershock. everyone did the same, but keonho remained unwavering. “Guest needs me right now! i don't care if i'm still injured!” he ended the conversation, not waiting for their response.

the ride is bumpy since every road he takes has some cracks, and his head is freaking throbbing... but he couldn't think of any, only her. so when he arrived at the complex of their apartment, he was met by a pile of people outside.

keonho dived from the crowd without hesitation, determined to find her or just saw a glimpse of her... and then... there she was.

alone. hidden on the corner. hugging herself. it made his heart ache, utterly. without a second thought, he called out and ran towards her just to bring her into his embrace.

“you're safe... you're safe... i'm here...” he mumbled like a mantra, as if he was trying to ground himself. he pulled away afterwards, assessing her face and body. “are you hurt?” he gauged the way she shook her head, but her eyes tells she was scared.

however... the moment was interrupted when someone yelled their hearts out, the ray from the sun was suddenly blocked by something massive from far away.

“TSUNAMI!” everyone's eyes widened, people clung to each other, and some of them were already running from their lives... it was too hard to imagine since the tsunami was coming.
