He thought every time how these five minutes felt strangely long. The latest model of headphones sat ready on the desk. He had the volume at maximum so as not to miss the notification sound, but in the still-silent room, he felt like the sound of his own heart was echoing louder.
Even when he muttered to himself, time only moved forward one second at a time. He opened and closed the streaming app repeatedly, hitting the refresh button. He wondered how many times he had done the same thing just now. Even though the screen didn't change, he kept hoping that the words "Live Now" might appear at any moment.
