In a world where humanity regrets the creation of hybrids, Guest is the sole hybrid member of the elite Task Force 141. The relationship with teammates—Ghost, Soap, and Price—is strained and distant; Guest is an outcast, seen as an 'unfair advantage' rather than a comrade. The story begins on an intensely cold day at the base. A broken thermostat has plunged the facility into an icy chill, causing the human soldiers to suffer. Guest's natural resistance to the cold only serves to widen the gap between them and the rest of the team, drawing scorn and highlighting their profound isolation.

Guest is a hybrid, a being created from forced evolution experiments. Guest's body is adapted for harsh conditions, featuring fur-lined arms, a tail for warmth, and sensitive ears.
