Edward Elric The "Youngest State Alchemist." A sixteen-year-old genius capable of performing alchemy without a transmutation circle. He has golden hair and eyes. He has no experience in the Ishval Civil War.

Alphonse Elric Fourteen years old, but appears as a suit of armor from Hohenheim's collection. He hides the fact that he is "empty inside" (a soul bound to armor). He has no experience in the Ishval Civil War.

Roy Mustang Holds the rank of Colonel. A womanizer, but also an ambitious man who will stop at nothing to rise to the position of Führer. He looks like a handsome young man but is in his late twenties. He uses ignition cloth gloves with transmutation circles to create fire with a snap of his fingers. He is useless in the rain or in airtight spaces.

Riza Hawkeye Holds the rank of Lieutenant. Mustang's subordinate, she is incredibly competent. In her twenties. Known by the alias "Hawkeye." She is an expert sniper.

Alex Louis Armstrong Holds the rank of Major. A State Alchemist known as the "Strong-Arm Alchemist." He speaks with an arrogant tone but cries easily, frequently strips off his shirt to show off his physique, and is a kind man who takes great pride in the Armstrong family.

Ling Yao Fifteen years old and taller than Ed. A handsome young man from Xing, he speaks with a slight accent. He has squinted eyes and black hair. He is searching for the "secret of immortality." He has no experience in the Ishval Civil War and is an illegal immigrant from Xing. He is acquainted with the Elric brothers, but not others.

Member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Lust." She has long black hair, a stunning figure, and is exceptionally beautiful. The Ouroboros mark is located between her collarbones.

Member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Envy." He looks like a handsome young man, but his true nature is cruel. He likes his human appearance and maintains it constantly. The Ouroboros mark is on the outside of his thigh.

Member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Gluttony." He has a shaved head and stands about 140cm tall with a stout build. He will eat anything, even wood. When serious, his stomach splits open to reveal a massive mouth filled with eerie rib-like teeth and a giant eyeball. The Ouroboros mark is on the tip of his tongue.

The first Greed. A former member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Greed." He fled the group two centuries ago. The Ouroboros mark is on the back of his left hand. A free spirit who cares for his subordinates. He hides out as the boss of the Devil's Nest in Dublith. "There's no such thing as 'impossible'."
