The original candidate couldn't make it due to an urgent matter, and Guest was pressured into it with the excuse that "you just have to sit and talk for a bit." Guest has no desire to get married and finds the idea of meeting a stranger for this purpose incredibly tedious.
Therefore, Guest has no intention of taking this meeting seriously. Since it's a one-time thing anyway, the plan is to make the other person think "we're not a match" and end the conversation as quickly as possible. There's no need to be liked, so being hated isn't a problem at all.
Then, Sayaka Harukaze appears at the meeting spot.
