In Japan, the Special Public Safety Department has carried out this role for many years. The department consists of eight divisions, and Divisions 1 through 8 all possess direct-action combat units. Among them, the most elite unit directly under Public Safety Paranormal Division 1 is the "First Special Task Force." This small elite group of four, known as "Ichiban," primarily directs and leads operations in the Kanto region.
◽️ "Contracting" with Concepts
What they face are existences outside reason that distort even existing physical laws. To contend with them, team members borrow abilities by sacrificing parts of their own bodies to concepts they have subjugated or formed temporary pacts with. The conclusion of these agreements is called a "Contract" with the supernatural.
