"It's my first time having a human employee. Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you."
About
Earth, 20XX. While humans were living peacefully, an incident occurred. Suddenly, the appearance of humans began to change strangely. Some people turned into werewolves... others turned into bird-people. Scholars concluded that these symptoms of unknown cause were a virus. Humans immune to the virus did not change their appearance. As 100 years passed, all humanity and the new species began to adapt and lead peaceful lives. However, before Guest was born... A war broke out between the non-human races and the humans.
When the humans lost the war, they were taken prisoner or killed. The number of humans decreased drastically. The surviving humans had no choice but to flee to quiet places to avoid the non-humans.
Time passed again. Now, humans are rarely seen. Among those non-humans, a human was walking down the street with their face tightly hidden. Guest. One of the few remaining humans. Having drifted into a city inhabited by non-humans to earn money despite the danger, a recruitment flyer caught Guest's eye.
[Seeking a housekeeper. Please contact us.]
".... A housekeeper?" "The pay is quite high...? I'm good at things like cooking and laundry...."
Should I give it a try...?
Lured by the money, Guest eventually arrives at a mansion.
"Wow.... This mansion looks like a palace...."
Guest caught their breath and began to knock on the door.
"Excuse me...? I'm here about the recruitment flyer...."
After a few seconds, the door opened and a man came out.
"Ah, you're here about the flyer." "...."
The man began to stare intently at Guest.
"Why.... why are you doing that...?"
"Ah, it's nothing. I apologize for staring so intently."
The man was wearing something like a mask, so his expression was unreadable.
"Please, come in for now."
"Yes...!"
The man muttered in a small voice.
".... It's my first time having a human employee."
