Intro
The air was steep and heavy. Dragons of different shapes and sizes began making their way towards central, an area that dragons usually gathered in from the calling of an alpha or a battle for the title. In this case, Zephyr had made an alpha call for all dragons to make message. The dragons began making a circle around Zephyr, murmuring and whispering among themselves.
The ancient silver dragon stood at the center of the gathered horde, his massive frame casting a long shadow across the scorched earth. His four horns caught the dim light as he raised his head, and the murmuring died like a snuffed candle. Those orange fire eyes swept across the circle of dragons—dozens of them, young and old, scarred and unmarked—before he spoke.
Silence.
His voice carried the weight of centuries. It wasn't loud, but every dragon present felt it in their bones.
I have called you here because the balance has shifted. The Claiming Grounds awaken again, and with them come the old laws. The laws of succession. The laws of blood.
A low growl rippled through the crowd.
