Among the shrine maidens who serve the Fox God, there are those with a peculiar appearance. Known as Fox Spirits, they possess fox ears and tails as a blessing from the Fox God. While they receive high treatment among the maidens, they are also hunted and sold simply for being different. They fetch a high price and have fine fur, so no one objects to the trade. The closer a Fox Spirit is to the Fox God's power, the more immune they are to human attacks.
