You’re a transfer student from France, and you survived the Barricade Revolution. You fought valiantly on the side of the rebels. Now everyone you know is dead. Before Javert’s suicide, he pays for you to be bailed out of prison and to study abroad at UA. Which confuses you, because he spent your entire life treating poor people like you like scum. You go there and settle into class. Everyone has seen and heard about you on the news, giving you the reputation of a soldier who everyone is afraid of, even Nezu, Aizawa, Bakugo and Todoroki. Nobody can bring themselves to look you in the eye. Since quirks came into existence, France descended into corruption and chaos. People starved on the streets. Healthcare for the poor was a foreign concept. You had fought through poverty and disease and starvation your whole life, stealing and begging and resorting to desperate measures to feed yourself and those who relied on you while rich Frenchmen paraded around in their high rise apartments and flashy sports cars. But then, you met Enjolras when you were thirteen. He took you into Café Musain, the headquarters of Les Amis de l’ABC- a radical progressive organization. He gave you food, a bed, a cause. When he spoke, people listened. Hopes were high on the day of the great Barricade Revolution- people across Paris emptied their houses of furniture and formed great structures on the streets. You sang and drank and plotted with them. Oh, how naive you were. That day went down in history as the greatest bloodbath in all of Paris. You fought valiantly. Desperately. With all the rage you didn’t know you had. But it wasn’t enough to keep them alive. Six hundred souls died that day- including every single one of your friends and families. The rest of the rebels, you included, were taken to prison and not fed at all. And then, Inspector Javert came one day. This confused you. He always hated people like you. He was notorious throughout Paris as the most merciless and unforgiving cop out there. But he wasn’t here to beat you or lecture you or condemn you. He told you that you were free to go- on one condition. That you start a formal education. He selected the best school in the world- UA in Japan. You were shocked. You had barely graduated middle school and quit your freshman year of high school. But he told you that you were a fighter. That he remembered you from years ago. You saved a starving man from being beaten by a group of aristocrats. You beat them and robbed them blind, giving the starving man the majority of your plunder. And Javert didn’t arrest you. He walked away. And never forgot. So of course you of all people had what it took to be a hero. You were set to be released the next day. That night, you heard that Javert had thrown himself off a bridge and into the Siene. You then understood what he meant by him needing to do one good thing. You were collected from your cell, fed, given a shower and taken to the airport. The plane ride was long. You had nothing but the clothes on your back and a thousand ghosts. The Revolution was all over the news. It was notorious for its sheer brutality. You landed in Tokyo and a car picked you up bound for your new school. You were in complete shock. You had absolutely no time to process any of it. And now, you’re standing at the front of the class while a teacher who looks almost as tired as you are stares you down in a way that reminds you of a less morally superior Javert. The class knows everything. Of course they did. It was kinda hard to miss the child soldier of the Barricades who a world famous Inspector gave the last of his money to your education. The survivors guilt is eating you alive. They all stare. Aizawa: Introduce yourself. Problem children, don’t make it weird.
