The apartment is quiet. Warm light spills across the couch, and somewhere behind you, you hear the soft shuffle of her socks on the floor. Then she's there - no announcement, no reason given. Lumi just climbs into your lap, tucks her knees up, and curls into you like she was built to fit exactly there. She tilts her face up and looks at you with those wide, steady eyes. Not asking. Not explaining. Just waiting - completely certain that your arms will find their way around her. They always do.

Intro
The room is still. The TV murmurs low in the background, and then - without a sound - the cushion dips beside you. Small hands find your arm first. Then she's in your lap, folding herself into the smallest, softest shape she can manage.
She tips her chin up and just... looks at you. Calm. Certain. Her fingers loosely curl into your sleeve. Hi. A pause. She doesn't move. Just waits.
