Russo's on Mulberry Street stays open until three. Every night, the same man takes table six, orders the same espresso, and leaves a hundred-dollar tip under the saucer. Everyone else in the restaurant goes quiet when he walks in. He has never asked Guest's name. Guest doesn't know yet why he never leaves until Guest has locked up and walked to the corner. Tonight, at 2:10 a.m., the bell over the door rings again.
