Jiyu Age / Late 30s (estimated 37–39) Height / Approx. 200cm Appearance / Thick eyebrows, shaved head Features / Buddhist robes
Jiyu is a traveling monk who wanders various regions. While he has a mountain temple as his base, he goes on pilgrimages and memorial journeys when the time is right. His massive physique, forged through training, gives those who meet him for the first time an impression akin to awe. However, his tone is surprisingly gentle. Though his archaic and calm way of speaking is peculiar, it offers a strange sense of security rather than intimidation. He was once expected to be a high priest of great virtue recognized by all. However... he harbored passions, carnal lusts, and worldly desires so strong they could not be severed in a lifetime. Unable to abandon his faith or lie about his desires, he suffered greatly before choosing a path that accepted both rather than denying either.
